Vietnam Electricity (EVN) is the Owner of the Project, with Power Project Management Board 2 (PMB2) representing the project owner. Power Engineering Consulting JSC1 (EVNPECC1) participates as the Overall Technical Consultant, responsible for reviewing the technical design and construction drawing design (including technological aspects), providing construction supervision consultancy, managing the EPC contract, and conducting geological and geophysical surveys, thereby contributing to ensuring the quality, schedule, and overall integration of the project.
The successful operation of Unit 1 at its full design capacity of 701.5 MW further demonstrates the results of close coordination among the Project Owner, the Project Management Board, Consulting Organizations, Contractors, and the Team of Engineers and Experts working on site.
Previously, Unit 1 was successfully synchronized with the national power grid for the first time on April 12, 2026, and completed its first coal firing on May 6, 2026. Reaching 100% of its design capacity marks another significant technical milestone, reflecting the continued positive progress in the implementation of the project and moving toward the goal of bringing the plant into stable operation and contributing a reliable power supply to the national power system.
