Mr. Ngo Son Hai – Vice President of Vietnam Electricity and Mr. Do Duc Hung – Vice Chairman of Vietnam Electricity Trade Union attended the Opening Ceremony. The festival and competition will take place in two days from April 11th – 12th, 2017.
31 contestants are power system operating engineers in the regional load dispatch centers, distribution load dispatchers in provinces of the five power corporations, who have passed competitions at the grassroots level.
The load dispatcher workforce at all levels does not represent a large proportion in the total employees of EVN (about 600 people among the total more than 100,000 employees), however they play a very important role in operating the power system in a safe, reliable, good quality and efficient manner. This is the first Competition for Excellent Load Dispatchers being organized at EVN’s level with the aim of assessing the competency of load dispatchers at all levels and promoting the general working and production movement of EVN. The Competition shall enhance the comprehension and responsibility of each load dispatcher in reliably, scientifically and economically commanding and operating the power network, contributing to fulfillment of the political assignments of EVN.
The contestants will take two examinations: Theory test in computers with 100 questions on the processes, procedures and regulations relating to power system operation and load dispatching. In the afternoons on April 11th and 12th, the contestants will take oral examinations (pick question and answer before the Jury), concentrating on the practical situation handling skills, assessing the ability of putting relevant processes, procedures and regulations in effect as well as mental health status and manners of load dispatchers.
